A completely colourless, odourless oil sold as cold pressed has almost certainly been refined afterwards.

Peroxide value and acid value are the two to watch on arrival — they tell you how much oxidation happened before the oil reached your process. Fatty acid composition by GC is available where your specification calls for it.

Whole coconut oil is solid below roughly 24 °C and carries the coconut aroma. Fractionated coconut oil has had the long-chain fatty acids removed, leaving a permanently liquid, colourless, odourless oil with a very long shelf life. Fractionated is the default for roll-on blends and clear packaging; whole coconut is preferred where the aroma and traditional-use story matter.

Yes, and with unrefined cold pressed oils that is expected — seed origin and crop year both show up in the finished oil. Tell us at enquiry stage if your product is in clear packaging or unfragranced, and we will agree a colour and odour window as part of the specification rather than leaving it to chance.

Oils are supplied without added antioxidant unless you ask. Where a high-polyunsaturate oil is going into a long-shelf-life product, adding tocopherol at the blending stage is common practice — specify it on the order so it is documented on the COA rather than added silently.
